Tapeworms, For Real???
Yes, believe it or not people actually use tapeworms as a means of losing weight. Is this the new rage is dieting? Not by a long shot. Though there is not a large population of people that intentionally use tapeworms to slim down, there is a good portion of the world that has lost weight caused by tapeworms of different kinds. Admit it, you are going to be more inclined to go out and try a diet pill, energy drink, or a healthy diet before ingesting a parasite you do not know much about nor how long the worm will be inside your body. If you are looking for someone to tell you that tapeworms are a ticket straight to a slender body—keep on dreamin’.
What is the Tapeworm Diet really about?
First, there are many different kinds of tapeworms in the world. Some tapeworms are going to be small and not have a great effect on your body and probably will not even be noticed. Other tapeworms are much more menacing. These bigger tapeworms can even be life threatening if not taken care of. The most common tapeworm used for dieting purposes is the Pig Whipworm. This species of tapeworm is fairly predictable in how much the little critter consumes and the effect it has on helping someone lose some weight. Most people are not going to see large problems in using this tapeworm and can take a pill that will kill the worm and have to worm relieved of their body through defecation. Some people develop what has been termed by some “Ghost Parasite Syndrome”. This is basically the body’s reaction to the worm and reacts by defending itself. The end result of this defense actually counterproductive; healthy cells end up getting attacked and killed instead of getting rid of the worm, or the real problem. Users of tapeworms actually end up continually introducing several species of tapeworms into their bodies to keep their body on the ball. Keeping tapeworms inside the body is not usually a goal for most people so these dieters allow their body to attack and kill the tapeworm and then introduce a new critter shortly thereafter.
With every diet someone could argue for and against it. Most people will find that the Tapeworm Diet is not going to be for them. Virtually every doctor is going to advise against this extreme diet as well as dieticians and persons with common sense. With that said, there are good and bad aspects to this diet. The one positive effect of The Tapeworm Diet is that you now have the freedom to eat foods that most dieters would kill to eat. With a tapeworm inside the body it is almost like you are eating for two. The bummer is that you are not getting many of the essential nutrients into your diet that you need to have. Now for the negative side of this diet. Antibiotics are required most of the time to kill and remove the worm. The removal of the worm includes defecating the critter out. This means exactly that—you need to get rid of the tapeworm while on the toilet. This is not as easy as a bowel movement. These tapeworms have about 25 feet of intestinal tract to grow and many tapeworms can grow much larger than that.
The Verdict
In the end, The Tapeworm Diet simply should not seriously be considered. This is just not a healthy means of losing weight or managing body physique. There are far better options that do not have the health risks associated with having a tapeworm using your intestines as a dinner table. Yes, there is the potential to lose weight and this can be great for some people to shed a few pounds, but the risks and health issues make this diet plan pure madness. Use a more orthodox means of becoming healthy. If you want to be in the best shape of your life and feel like a million bucks, then do what hundreds of others have and set some goals! Make a work out plan and stick to it. Put healthy foods in your body—not tapeworms! A trusted diet pill is much safer than an out of control worm. Your body deserves better than a nasty ol’ worm.
