Yes, as you can guess this serious-looking beefcake contains lots of caffeine.  At least that’s the reoccurring ingredient; but the dosages are questionable.  It’s formulated for body builders and those dedicated few who wish to mold their bodies into cut, toned Adonis and Aphrodite-types (that would not be me.)

It claims to work by using up your stored fat to reveal the lean, muscular you.  It also promises to give your thyroid gland a severe kick in the pants so you’re more energized and your metabolic rate is running optimally. 

But mostly–it contains caffeine.  Let’s see how Nordrenalean HSL works.

Does Nordrenalean HSL Work?

The ‘HSL’ in Nordrenalean HSL stands for ‘Hormone Sensitive Lipase’ levels which apparently stops you from using incoming food as energy, utilizing instead all that nasty fat storage.  Sounds almost too good to be true.  It also contains ingredients to improve thyroid function, energy levels and metabolic rate.  A word to the wise; diet products that promote switching up normal bodily functions-particularly when they pertain to the thyroid-make me leery.  You should always consider your health first and foremost; and a good diet pill will (climbs down off soapbox.)

Anyhoo…here are the ingredients:

• Synephrine–remember ephedra?  Great results-not so great side effects (including death!) Synephrine mimics it without negatively affecting the heart.  This ingredient is actually an excellent way to safely stimulate metabolism and thermogenesis.
• Guggulsterone–clinically proven to lower LDL cholesterol, and may boost energy and metabolic rate.  Another great ingredient-in the clinical dosage.
• Green Tea–Green Tea has been extensively researched and found to aid in raising metabolic rate due to its high caffeine content.  It’s also a potent antioxidant.  But again, you need the clinical dosage for it to be effective.

• White Willow Bark–an alleged anti-inflammatory and pain reliever. More bark than bite.

Okay intrepid diet explorers, a couple of things.  Firstly these ingredients are heavy on caffeine, but I don’t see anything here that singles it out as a ‘lipase level enhancer’ or ‘thyroid booster.’ Secondly, where are the ingredient dosages?  I found out these ingredients are thrown into a proprietary blend which basically means you have no idea how much of the good stuff you’re getting.  Blends are notoriously naughty.
