Is Yerba Mate Power Burn a Diet Pill That Works?

Yerba Mate is one of ‘those’ ingredients.  You know the ones.  They have lots of hype surrounding them and little actual evidence that they’ll do what they claim.  That’s why I like science so much; well when it comes to my diet pills anyway.  Bill Nye the Science Guy has me asleep in 2.4 seconds.  

Yerba Mate is one of those botanical rain forest ingredients.  You know the drill, body-conscious Brazilians love it and drink it as a tea rendering them instantly buff and bikini-worthy.  Well I’ve been to some of those South American countries and let me tell you–they don’t all look like that.  And they weren’t all drunk on the nutritious elixir of Yerba Mate when I was there either.  I’m just sayin’… 

Anyway, I digress–as I so often do.

Well I’m certainly glad they threw in the bit about reducing calories and exercising.  I’m not unfamiliar with Applied Nutrition products and they’re not exactly top-rated, if you know what I mean.  Anyway before I utterly trash it let’s look at the ingredients at least.

If you’ve read my reviews before you know I HATE proprietary blends.  I know ‘hate’ is strong word and your mother always taught you ‘dislike’ is better, but sometimes you need to say it like you feel it.  Most blends SUCK. They hide ineffective amounts of anything good (and thus expensive) in the mix and absolutely drown them in cheap stuff.  And I hate to say it, but there’s a lot of cheap stuff in Yerba Mate Power Burn Diet disguised as ‘HOLLISTIC.’ 

I’m sorry but being a believer in science for diet products I tend to feel hollistic is ‘fluffy.’  (Any tree huggers reading this can send your complaints to “idon’tcare.com”)
