Melt if Off! with Mitch
Mitch Gaylord, a 4 times Olympian medalist and Olympic Hall of Famer was bored with being handsome, fit and successful and decided to share his expertise with the us average Joe’s so we can feel (and look) like champions too.
‘Melt it Off! with Mitch’ is a labor of love from the man with the million dollar smile and precision cut body. Using his philosophy of core training being the center of workout success, he created six high intensity workouts that focus on using the core for ultimate fat melting results.
And his secret weapon? The G Ball. It looks much like a regular medicine ball to us, but apparently this baby will work you into falling asleep in your (low calorie) soup at dinner. Mitch aims for the large muscle groups as these burn more fat, so you’ll be doing a series of lunges, squat and push-ups until ‘you’re blue’-as one consumer eloquently put it. (We hope you get better soon.)
Purchase the Melt it Off! with Mitch system and you’ll receive the following goodies for the bargain price of $19.95:
- The G Ball (2 lbs)
- 6 DVD’s-3 Day Melt it Off! Kick Start Program, Cardio Burn Workout, Sculpt workout, Sizzlin’ Abs Workout, The High Calorie Melt workout, Melt in 10 workout
- Melt it Off! Program Guide
- Melt it Off! meal plans
- Melt it Off! recipes
- A rotating calendar
- Motivational CD
- Free Gift-30 day branded fat burner
Only it’s not $19.95. Not even close. Shipping will double the price, and that’s for your basic ground delivery (most consumers experience a 10-14 day wait), and if you rush ship, expect to pay half as much again. Plus you’ll have to navigate yourself through a maze of additional offers to even get to ordering point. Heavier G Balls (4 and 6 lbs) are an extra $20 each.
But it gets worse…hand over your credit card and you are automatically enrolled in a website membership, and that free ‘gift’ of the fat burner will now cost you $80 a month. If you read the small print on the website it does inform you that you’ll be enlisted in an autoship program, but not plainly enough considering dozens of consumers have complained via posts on how they got ‘ripped off’ this way, and getting their money back was a nightmare of mass proportions.
The workout itself, however, received two enthusiastic thumbs way up by most customers. Mitch takes you through a series of upper and low body exercises concentrating on maintaining a strong core throughout, using the added weight of the G Ball to tighten and strengthen muscles and burn fat. The workout can be adjusted to all fitness levels and users were left aching and sore and with killer results if they stuck to the program (which of course is key with any workout.) Some of the moves were a little tricky (think squats with a medicine ball squeezed between your legs), and certainly not for the faint of heart. But for those of you with Olympian spirits will love this workout and Mitch’s enthusiastic and caring coaching.
The diet is nothing special; just your typical healthy low calorie eating plan. And if you’re working this hard (a reportedly 1,000 calorie an hour loss) and eating fewer calories, it’s simple math that you’ll lose weight.
Bottom line, the program seems sound for at-home exercisers who don’t mind sweating-a lot. But try Walmart or Target first, the program can be found in their sports departments; or failing that, order from ebay or Amazon where shipping if often free and you don’t have the added hassle of being enrolled in a rip-off autoshipment program.
If you really must order from the official website use a prepaid credit card and put $50 on it because that is what this program will set you back with just the basics and ground shipping.
